What We Do

Colorado AG Bell is a non-profit with over 20 years of dedication to supporting Colorado’s deaf and hard of hearing community. Through community outreach, education, and advocacy we strive to improve listening and spoken language outcomes for Coloradans who are deaf and hard of hearing, their families, and the professionals who work with them.

Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:

For parents: Fall is upon us and to help parents get ready for back to school, we offered a two part Back to School Series in collaboration with the Listen Foundation and Colorado Neurological Institute.  On August 3rd an expert panel, comprised of a parent, teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing, clinical audiologist/former educational audiologist, and director of student services provided a workshop on preparing for the transition from early intervention to school-based services and how to create a meaningful IEP.  On August 10th, we hosted a Q&A where caregivers could ask a group of experienced educators and parents any education-related questions they had .

For families:  In August, the monthly Parent/Tot group visited Belleview Park in Englewood for a morning of fun, community, and language development.  Parent/Tot is one Saturday each month.  Join our e-mail list so you don’t miss the next one!

For professionals:  Join professionals from all over Colorado for monthly collaborative learning through Listen and Chat. The group meets the last Monday evening of each month from 6:30-8:00pm at the Listen Foundation (6950 E Belleview Ave, Greenwood Village, CO 80111) and on Zoom.  LSL CEU’s are available from AG Bell.  Send us an e-mail if you are interested in learning more.
